About the Artist JUDEYA:
Judy aka “JUDEYA” Petrongolo born and raised as a South Philadelphian who has been singing for several years now, always had the dream to accomplish and record an album and perform her own music on the big stages. I’m so blessed to have the many opportunities to connect and collaborate with professional musicians in the music industry. I was able to connect with a local musician Mark “MarkyZ” Sgambato who I have known for over 10 years in the music scene throughout the DELCO and the Tristate area and was able to start my journey as a singer songwriter. One day when I showed him some lyrics and sang some melodies for him something just clicked like magic and we started composing music together which eventually became the music for the project JUDEYA. The music of JUDEYA was also featured on the 11:11 project that MarkyZ already had all the music composed for the album. I was very impressed with the 11:11 music and he agreed to feature a song I wrote called “Thoughts of You” on the album. I was then one day introduced to Anthony Albanese/CEO of The Zugu Project who was signed with RSTE ,AMG, and SONY distribution and this is how JUDEYA was asked to be part of the support for mental illness awareness as featured artist on The ZUGU Project.
MarkyZ and myself started composing and writing music and we were coming up with song after song and knew this was definitely something special between us it just was clicking for us! He then started mixing and mastering the music along with Nygil Hoch professional musician with a degree in music from MI Music Institute Hollywood, Ca. He and MarkyZ knew we had something unique and special and Nygil wanted to become part of the music and playing it and started recording solos to the tracks we were coming up with being composed along with another great musician and friend MarkyZ has played in bands and toured with from several years Christopher Graziola. Christopher is a touring musician of“ Kid Nasty and Crown of Earth” which was featured on some songs with 11:11 particularly with “Past Love and Keep Your Love Away”along with several other artists contributing in the very beginning Jimmy Katone/drums “HGR” Katone” and many other bands he is in and also Joe Riley/ pro guitarists featured on some unreleased tracks from JUDEYA and many solos recorded on the first self titled album for 11:11! As things were progressing along very fast MarkyZ introduced me to a industry giant Mark S. Berry who has over 29 gold and platinum status under his belt and worked with major Rock stars such as Paul McCartney/ Beatles,Wings, Carly Simon,Duran Duran, Culture Club,Yes,Billy Idol, Joan Jett and many more over the last 50 plus years and when Mark heard the music of JUDEYA for the first time he was extremely impressed and decided to mentor and support MarkyZ and myself on this project going forward! MarkyZ, myself and Nygil decided together in the beginning of this year 2026 we need to put together a live band for JUDEYA and we did and obtained George Almond former drummer from Knights Reign “DIO tribute band” and played in many other tributes and bands and also MarkyZ recruited his partner John Durkin from a signed project back 20 years ago almost his keyboard player and composer of music with the Hip Hop Rock Philly band Mix Match Sox” to join JUDEYA which he did once he heard the music we were composing and coming up with and jumped on board with us I have to say I’m feeling incredibly blessed by God as all this is falling into place like a dream! I want to give a major shout out to Big Mike Raushi for his incredible support of the JUDEYA band letting us starting this journey writing and recording in his place and creating custom Rock wear for the band to represent on stage YOU ROCK thank you also Anthony Albanese/ CEO/Zugu Records LLC for his blessings and continued support YOU ROCK thank you and Caz from Threadworks for the awesome custome JUDEYA logo patches YOU ROCK thank you! Now JUDEYA is a becoming a very tight unit we have booked our first of many shows this year in October to support and open for Knights Reign “Ultimate DIO Experience” and AC/DC tribute Ride On at the Midtown Social in Berwyn, PA and this is the start of JUDEYA’s exciting journey to bring JUDEYA’s music to the world!
